Christopher Malpas

Christopher was born in Northampton and since 2003 has been an elected Councillor on Northampton Borough Council.  In May 2016, Christopher was elected as the 776th Mayor of the Borough of Northampton and also served on Northamptonshire County Council from 2005 to 2013 as well as being a Governor of the former Bellinge Primary School for many years.  Christopher is registered as Severely Sight Impaired (Blind) but this has not impeded him from successfully taking on a number of voluntary positions such as being a Trustee of Northamptonshire Association for the Blind and a Trustee and Treasurer of Service Six, a charity dedicated to helping hard-to-reach, disadvantaged children, young people, adults and families as well as being a committed member of Northampton Guide Dogs.  Christopher is often seen out and about with his Guide Dog, Sergeant.

Scott Richards

Scott is the Chair of Governors at Simon de Senlis Primary School and a member of Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service as a Fire Protection Officer, and in total has worked for the Service for fourteen years. Scott has undertaken a number of different roles over his years as a governor and currently, in addition to being Chair, sits on the finance and personnel committee and the safeguarding and health and safety committee.

Carly Waterman

A teacher of English since 1999 and an experienced school leader, Carly has expertise in many areas inclduing teaching, leadership, curriculum and assessment.  Carly has taught in four Northamptonshire schools including Northampton School for Girls, where she was Deputy Headteacher from 2008 to 2017.  Carly has a master's degree in Educational Leadership and School Improvement from the University of Cambridge and the NPQH.  In September 2017, Carly established her own education training and advisory business supporting schools, advising government policy and contributing to research.

Despite being kept busy by a passion for education, Carly's most important job is being mum to two primary school aged girls.

Adrian White

Adrian White is the Chair of the Board of Directors having previously been the Chair of Governors at Abington Vale Primary School.  Adrian works as Divisional Managing Director of Operations at Carlisle Support Services, managing the Retail and Events business units.  Adrian's background has predominantly been in support services and he works with large retailers and some of the UK's major sporting venues, providing staff to deliver key projects and events. 

Adrian became a Governor in 2008, keen to support his children's primary school.  He is experienced in developing the effectiveness of governing bodies, putting in place the right systems and processes and encouraging Governors to support and challenge.  He oversaw the transition of Abington Vale Primary School from a 'requires improvement' to 'outstanding' category in a two year period, working closely with the local authority.
