Headlands Primary School is a vibrant and creative school determined to pursue academic, artistic, athletic and pastoral excellence for every child to enable them to shape the world in which they live.
We are an established, two form primary school with 420 happy children on roll. In addition, we have a 56 place Nursery and a 28 place Unit provision for children with communication difficulties including autism.
Our staff and Governors are highly skilled, dedicated professionals determined to achieve the best for all of our children. We have a proud history of working in partnership with our local parents and the community to support and enhance learning.
We aim to nurture and develop ambitious learners, responsible citizens and dynamic individuals. At all times we seek to promote high quality, innovative teaching and learning that inspires creativity, enabling children to enjoy and achieve in all that they do. We are an inclusive school driven to achieve excellence for all and in partnership and as proud members of NPAT, we collaborate with others to ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our children.
To achieve our vison and aims, we want children to develop a love of learning for life. Every day, at Headlands offers fun, excitement and challenge. We are concerned about supporting each other to achieve our best in all that we do. Our ambition is strong and relentless and in the words of Henry David Thoreau, ‘If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.’ In all that we do, we build those foundations by everyone working to achieve the same goal - happy, confident and successful children.
