‘Achieving Extraordinary Things’

Our vision is to achieve educational excellence, create opportunities and enrich lives.

To achieve this, our mission is to develop a Multi-Academy Trust of highly effective and sustainable schools.

Our strategy for growth is embedded in our vison and mission.  A Multi Academy Trust is a complex organisation and must deliver more than the sum of its parts.  NPAT’s approach to collaborative working coupled with appropriate support, challenge and evidence-based research has proved that we achieve more collectively than an individual school could on its own, ultimately leading to better outcomes for children.

In order to achieve our vision we must be sustainable, compliant and focused on school improvement.  Our School Improvement and Business and Finance strategies for the next two years clearly identify our priorities. The Trust’s School Improvement team of experienced educational professionals work with our school leaders to focus on the delivery of a broad, rich and innovative curriculum to meet our children’s needs.   The Trust’s Business and Finance team provide the systems and processes that allows our school leaders and governors to focus on teaching and learning and successful outcomes for children.

Our people are our greatest asset.  We prioritise the well-being and development of all our staff by ensuring a fair and reasonable workload, access to high quality training and development and a pay and reward package that is at least equal to national pay and conditions.

Following a period of growth in 2017/18 the NPAT Board of Directors took the conscious decision for the last academic year to be a period of consolidation in order to embed our strategies, develop our schools and prepare for the next phase of growth.  The result of this is that NPAT is now ready to grow and we are actively looking for schools and MATs to join us and contribute towards our exciting journey.  The trust aims to focus in and around Northamptonshire working with primary schools serving a range of communities for the benefit of local children.  We are beginning to expand our network beyond Northampton town and would be interested in having a conversation with Heads or Governors of primary schools within a one hour drive of Northampton, who may be interested in becoming an academy.

The NPAT Board of Directors recognise that every school will have its own unique context.  Growth has to be carefully considered to ensure that we are adding value to those that join us whilst not compromising the success we have achieved with our existing schools.  No final decision will be taken about joining the Trust until we are all happy that formalising the relationship with a new school or MAT will bring benefits to everyone involved.  Our growth will be measured to ensure that we continue ‘achieving extraordinary things’ and ‘educational excellence’ is delivered.

Please do not hesitate to contact Julia Kedwards, our CEO, if you may be interested in discussing becoming part of our Trust.
