Upton Meadows Primary School
We are a diverse and inclusive 2 form entry school located on the outskirts of Northampton, serving the community of Upton. We pride ourselves on our creative curriculum which we use to ensure that we nurture and develop the whole child. Through our focus on the following values: respect, responsibility, unity, perseverance, excellence and kindness, we aim to equip our children with the necessary skills to be good citizens and excellent learners. We provide lots of enrichment opportunities for our children: from learning to play an instrument or working with practitioners from The Royal and Derngate to visiting exciting places such as Cadbury’s World and going on residential trips.
We are fortunate enough to have a full time librarian who works in our vibrant library supporting all children across the school, bringing reading alive for all our families.
We are a lead school for Schools Direct working in partnership with the University of Northampton. We are very proud to have been awarded our Artsmark Gold for the creative work we do. Our work on children’s wellbeing and mental health has been recognised by our Gold TaMHS award and we were also awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark.
We have a big focus on outdoor learning and like to make use of our extensive grounds and our two Forest School sites whenever we can, come rain or shine. We teach our children to have a growth mindset and have high aspirations for them all. Our school motto is ‘Reach for the Stars’.
